Functions of a Grand Jury
The main function of a grand jury is to determine whether there is probable cause to believe that a crime has been committed and that the accused person should be tried for that crime.
A grand jury does not determine guilt or innocence, but rather whether there is enough evidence to support the charges against the accused.
